POLICE are asking residents to be vigilant following a spate of burglaries in the area.
On Thursday, April 12 a resident disturbed a man as he tried to open a window at a home in Church Road in Gorleston around 11.50pm.
The occupants hear a noise and one went to investigate and saw the male.
He ran off when challenged by the resident.
The occupants of an address in Lacon Road in Caister were woken in the early hours of yesterday, Thursday 19, by their dog barking, which was unusual.
They turned on lights and the dog stopped barking.
When they got up later they discovered their front door lock had been tampered with, although no entry had been gained.
In a third burglary, which happened between 9.05am and 3pm yesterday, Thursday 19, someone broke into a home at Balmoral Avenue in Great Yarmouth and made a search before stealing cash and small electrical items, including an iPhone and games consoles.
A large flatscreen TV was removed from a room and was left near the front door of the property so it appears the offender or offenders may have been disturbed.
Police are also asking residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to officers immediately using 999.
Call Great Yarmouth CID with information about the above incidents on 101.
