As staff from two opticians lined up together at the Race for Life it was not hard to see why their running efforts would end up a fundraising success.

The teams at the Specsavers in Great Yarmouth and Gorleston joined forces to wear pink and don trainers at the annual Norwich

event in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Staff at the Great Yarmouth store, in Market Place, have taken part in the annual event for Cancer Research UK for the last seven years.

With many of the Specsavers Gorleston team having moved from the Great Yarmouth store when the new store in Lowestoft Road opened earlier this year, they were keen to join their former colleagues for the 5k challenge.

Between them they raised £810 for Cancer Research UK.

Roxanne England, practice manager in Gorleston, said: “Cancer Research UK is a really good cause. The team had a brilliant time on the day and are looking forward to the next one.”
