THE moves have been made and the pieces fallen into place at a St George's First School and Nursery Chess Club. Chess is a popular after school activity for pupils who enjoy the serious challenge of a game and plenty of fun. Topping this year's league table was eight-year-old Hugo Serra who won a chess set with second-placed Joel Moreira receiving a £5 book voucher. All the children were given a certificate for taking part in the club run by teachers Mr Fox and Mrs Donovan, pictured.
