PUPILS at St Nicholas' Priory Junior School took part in a range of activities to mark Anti Bullying Week last week. It began with headteacher Mark Adams leading an assembly on the subject of bullying. Year groups made a Pledge Wall, with each pupil writing a pledge eg “I will never bully” on a paper “brick.” On “Blue Friday” pupils were invited to wear an item of blue instead of the usual school tie, shirt and jumper. Class 4S performed an assembly in the afternoon following the theme Everyone is Different, with the children explaining that just because people are different it doesn't mean they cannot be friends and how bullying is different from other kinds of unpleasant behaviour. Afterwards a selection of pupils read out the pledges they had made for their Pledge Walls. The photograph shows 4S performing.
