IT HAS been a busy couple of weeks for pupils at St Nicholas Priory Junior School as they prepared for the festive season.

Children and staff had great fun decorating the Great Yarmouth school with a festive themed decorations day and on Tuesday pupils, staff and governors enjoyed a scrummy Christmas lunch prepared by school cook Mrs Breen and her staff.

And there were chance to burn off the festive feast later that week when pupils walked down to the Hollywood Cinema in Yarmouth to watch Madagascar 2.

Each year group performed part of the Christmas story in front of proud parents, carers and governors. Year 3 performed t'was the night before Christmas, Year 4 and 5 performed the nativity story and Year 6 performed the History of Christmas as we know it, Christmas around the world and comedy Christmas.

Led by John Stephens the school choir sang songs recently performed at the Hippodrome and at the Rotary Club Carol festivals.

The service ended with a blessing given by Rev Richard Knowles and pupils are pictured at the church service.
