A SURVEY has revealed the levels of satisfaction felt by staff at the James Paget Hospital in regards to their workplace.

The hospital was rated in the top 20pc in the country in a range of areas, including satisfaction with quality of work and care delivered, flexibility of working arrangements, and their employer's commitment to providing a good work/life balance.

Wendy Slaney, chief executive at James Paget, said: “We are very proud of our staff, who work extremely hard in challenging circumstances to deliver care to our patients.

“We recognise that motivated, well-trained and involved staff are much more likely to make a positive difference in all aspects of healthcare.

"To provide the highest level of care and services we need to understand how our staff feel and to engage them in an ongoing dialogue about their working lives and the services they provide. We will continue to work with staff in this high-priority area.”

The hospital was also rated above average for job satisfaction, motivation, and for whether staff would recommend the hospital as a place to work or receive treatment.
