WHEN she runs alongside more than 4,000 other women, one mother-of-three's efforts to raise money for Cancer Research will have a personal connection.
Clare May, from Stalham, will be running 5km in the Race for Life at Norwich Showground on May 2 in memory of her 37-year-old cousin who died of the disease and an aunt who survived her battle against it.
Clare, 36, completed the run two years ago, and this time will be joined by her 11-year-old daughter Tara, with whom she will be training after school in the build up to the big day.
She said: “I missed out on doing it last year because it was full, but in memory of my cousin I want to do it again and raise as much as I can.
“Last time I did it was okay, but I felt it afterwards, and this time me and my daughter will be putting in the training beforehand.”
Her husband Alan is manager at Maycraft Boat Services in Potter Heigham.
