A study by 99p Stores has revealed that Great Yarmouth is the third poshest place in the UK.
The budget chain analysed a perceived basket of posh products across all its 207 UK and Ireland branches, and discovered Yarmouth has a guilty posh pleasure - coming third, just behind East Grinstead in West Sussex.
Posh 99p products in the study included: Sundried tomatoes, blueberry juice, roasted garlic pasta sauces, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, jalapeno peppers, asparagus spears, pesto, red grilled peppers and pomegranate juice.
And there is even 99p ‘posh’ cat food titled ‘Posh Cat’ - this was included in the basket too.
It emerged shoppers at the Regent Road store buy the products in their droves, putting them third on the table.
The store is running a competition to find the poshest shopper in Britain, with a mammoth 99p Stores Christmas hamper for the winner.
