Summer fruit, veg and blooms on show in Gorleston

Gorleston Horticultural Society holds its annual Summer Show on Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3, in a marquee on Gorleston Cliffs.

The show is open to the public on Saturday from 2pm to 9pm and Sunday, 10am to 4.30pm. There is ample parking close by. Refreshments and various tombolas will be available.

The show will include sections for many types of Sweet Peas, Dahlias, Delphiniums, Carnations, Roses, Fuchsias, Pelegoniums, various Pot Plants, Fruit, and Vegetables, and a section for Floral Art.

The sponsors for the show will again be Bradwell Butchery, Bakery and Delicatessen, whose support has continued for several years. The next meeting of the society is a talk on Delphiniums by Howard Norton on Tuesday, July 12 at the Kevill Arms, Gorleston, at 7.30pm.

The meeting on Tuesday, August 9 will be a Table Show, also at the Kevill Arms, at 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to all of shows and meetings.
