After previous visits from Mike Tyson and Sugar Ray Leonard, organiser Leon Docwra has secured another top boxing name for the area. Former World Heavyweight champion David Haye will spend an evening at the Cliff Hotel in Gorleston on Friday, January 23.

The ‘Hayemaker’, as he is commonly known, will speak to attendees about his career along with participating in a Q&A session. The event also includes a three course meal, a professional photograph and entertainment throughout the evening.

In his career, the 34-year old knocked out 24 of 26 beaten opponents and ended 20 of his bouts inside six rounds. He was also the first Briton ever to win world titles on foreign soil at different weights. In 2012 he infamously beat Dereck Chisora at Upton Park in front of 35,000 people and also took part in ITV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

It is another major coup for organiser and boxing coach Leon Docwra who said: “It is a major event for the area and it is something I would encourage people to get behind. For me to have these big names in the area clearly puts us on the map. It is fantastic for the local people to see these boxers up close”.

The VIP event is priced at £100 and for more information and reservations contact Leon on 07776352450.
