A GREAT Yarmouth man has been given a four month suspended sentence for carrying a machete in Great Yarmouth town centre.
Andrew Roberts, 38, of Southtown Road, was seen hiding a knife in his jacket by a member of the public who then called the police on July 16.
He was given the suspended sentence and ordered to take part in a specified activity requirement by Norwich Crown Court on Monday.
Roberts had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
