SCHOOL pupils thinking of a college course in September can take part in a series of taster sessions to help them make the right choice.

Great Yarmouth College is running a series of sessions at the Southtown campus aimed mainly at Year 11 school students. It is the first year the college has offered the tasters, designed to give extra help to students choosing courses and ease the transition from school to college.

The sessions are: Health, care and social sciences - January 18, 5.30pm-7.30pm; beauty therapy, catering and hospitality, customer services, hairdressing, public services, sport and leisure, travel and tourism - February 4, 5.30pm-7.30pm; construction and engineering - February 11, 4.30pm-8pm; art and design, fashion, media, performing arts - February 18, 5.30pm-7.30pm.
