A teenager has been charged after a woman in her 60s was assaulted on the Great Yarmouth market place.

Reece Finch, 18, of North Quay in Great Yarmouth, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today.

Norfolk Police said the incident happened at 1am on Friday, October 12 near to Argos.

A spokesperson for the police said the woman remains in hospital after receiving serious facial injuries.
