The caution from Bradwell Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) comes after a teenage male was issued with a section 59 warning for driving irresponsibly in a car park on Green Lane.

The incident happened on Saturday, January 2, at about 8.45pm when the 18-year-old driver was seen to do a handbrake turn in snow and icy conditions and was witnessed by police.

The driver was later issued with a section 59 warning - a 12 month order which aims to encourage responsible driving.

If the driver breaches the order the vehicle registered to the driver or any other vehicle the driver is caught using could be crushed.

Police Community Support Officer Mark Brown, from Bradwell NPT, said: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and doing a handbrake turn in poor weather conditions is very dangerous.

“Anyone caught driving irresponsibly can expect police to take positive action.”
