A TEENAGER who glassed another man in the face was yesterday given 12 months' custody. Stephen Dye, 19, attacked Kevin Hughes with a glass in the seafront Long Bar and then punched him twice in the face knocking him unconscious.
At Norwich Crown Court Dye of Lynn Grove, Yarmouth, admitted unlawful wounding.
The court heard Dye, who had no previous convictions, was upset at the time about the death of his mother and Recorder Guy Ayers told him that while it was a “significant piece of violence in a public place,” he accepted the death had been preying on his mind at the time of the attack.
