A village near Great Yarmouth has temporarily lost its Tesco Express Store and Post Office branch due to refurbishment work.

The Tesco Express in Bell Lane in Belton has been closed for refurbishment and will re-open on October 23.

The building contains the village’s Post Office branch.

During the work there will be a pop up Tesco only store open at the site from October 3 and 17.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “We look forward to welcoming customers into the new look Belton Express store at the end of October. We apologize for any inconvenience during the refurbishment and will be operating a smaller pop up store from October 3 to 17 to help customers.”

A Post Office spokesman said: “Belton Post Office is temporarily closed due to the major refurbishment of the Tesco store.

“It is due to re-open on Tuesday, October 23 at 9am.”

Alternative branches have been suggested for use: Burgh Castle Post Office, Butt Lane, and Bradwell Post Office, Church Lane.
