SHE has a soft spot for the Rattlesnake ride, is on first name terms with the owner and is rather partial to a cuddle with Woody Bear.

In fact Maureen Brinded loves Pleasurewood Hills so much she has visited the theme park in Leisure Way, Lowestoft, a staggering 47 times this summer … sometimes going twice in one weekend.

Aside from believing it's a brilliant place to visit, Maureen does it to please her two great-grandchildren, who are part of four generations of the family equally sharing her enthusiasm.

The loyal customer admitted she usually arrives at the park before it opens with Tyler, four, Jasmine, three, and sometimes granddaughter Kirsty and daughter Alison. And she only leaves when it's about to close.

Maureen, of Mulberry Grove, Bradwell said: “We've been 47 times this year. We've been going from when it first opened during the Easter holidays (in March) and the last time was on the Sunday when it closed.

“Some weekends we've been twice and during the holidays we've been midweek as well. We've been doing this quite a few years now. I started taking my great grandson and then my other little great-granddaughter wanted to join in. I used to take their mum when she was little and she was 25 this year, the same as the park.

“It's just such a brilliant place to visit. Everybody is so friendly and it's a great atmosphere. Woody Bear knows us all by name and he comes over and gives the little ones a cuddle. We're also on first name terms with Yves (Delhommeau) who runs the park, and the ride operators.”

Moreover, it was Mr Delhommeau who took the photo of the family on September 28 … the last Sunday it was open.

And although the summer season is officially over, Maureen, who has a season ticket, can't wait for Halloween.

“There are two weekends there and the children are off school too, so we might go midweek as well so it will definitely be over 50 times I have been this year. The little ones just enjoy it so much and can't wait to go. Tyler gets up in the morning and asks if we're 'going to the Hills today?'”
