Plans to redevelop the former Ferryside Building in Gorleston into 34 new homes have been submitted.

Proposals for the site in High Road, which was used as a registry office for many years, include building eight three-bedroom homes, six one-bedroom flats and 20 two-bedroom flats.

Norwich-based property developers Dawson Brown have lodged three separate applications to build a total of 84 new homes across Great Yarmouth and Gorleston.

The second site is the former Ivy Hotel and The Hollies in Burnt Lane and Addison Road, Gorleston where the firm hope to build 18 dwellings.

Plans are for nine two-bedroom homes and nine two-bedroom flats at the site.

The third location is in Gordon Road, Great Yarmouth where developers would like to build 22 new dwellings, including 14 one-bedroom flats and eight two-bedroom flats.

The plans are still awaiting a planning permission decision by the borough council.
