Not only borough councillors being elected on Thursday, May 5, but so is Norfolk’s police and crime commissioner (PCC).

The PCC was first elected in November 2012 in order to hold the chief constable and the force to account, effectively making the police answerable to the communities they serve.

There are six candidates standing and the Mercury spoke to all of them, asking them questions about policing and crime in the borough.

The six candidates are:

Stephen Bett

Lorne Green

Jacky Howe

Chris Jones

David Moreland

Martin Schmierer
