Three people have been arrested after a car chase took place in the streets of Great Yarmouth.

Three people have been arrested after a car chase took place in the streets of Great Yarmouth.

A high speed pursuit tore through the town yesterday afternoon, at around 5pm.

The car, a black Mitsubishi Carisma, was marked by police as stolen who tried to flag the car down. However, the driver refused to stop.

The car pulled into Alderson Road where the three people tried to flee on foot, but were caught by the officers.

The three people, two men and one woman, were arrested for numerous offences.

They were also wanted for a multitude of offences in other areas such as harassment, and two are now being dealt with by police forces in that area.

In a picture tweeted by the Great Yarmouth Police, the car is being seized by the officers and is being loaded onto the back of a tow truck.

The woman has been released and the two men have been taken to Northampton to be dealt with for various offences.
