Thursday: Weather hour by hour
9.30am - Snow is covering most side roads and main roads in Great Yarmouth this morning. Pavements also covered with snow up to 4cms deep, masking ice underneath making it treacherous to walk.
2.45pm- Light snow has just started falling again and sky is overcast. However, much of the snow on town centre pavements is melting, making them slippy. Residents are advised to take care when driving or walking.
1pm - The odd snow flurry but nothing too serious, not settling - at least in the town. Villages are affected though by the overnight snow, with many roads become slippery due to the packed snow. Roads on housing estates and off the main roads remain covered and drivers should take extra care. Sun has disappeared behind heavy grey clouds coming from the south and it is getting colder.
Noon - The snow is continuing to thaw during the lull in showers. The general weather has improved from this morning, with longer periods of sunshine.
11am - Pavements in Great Yarmouth town centre are still covered by 2 or 3cms of snow. However, the snow showers have temporarily died down and been replaced with spells of bright sunshine which is starting to melt the snow. All roads are open though conditions remain treacherous in places, especially where snow is thawing.
