The Tigers Army Parachute Display Team landed on the beach to applause as they dazzled the crowds with their stunts as they headed to the earth.

After landing they were greeted by the mayor of Great Yarmouth Mary Coleman.

The team also presented Mrs Coleman with the official flag of the borough, which had been carried down through the air by one of the team of the highly trained soldiers.

Mrs Coleman said the parachute team’s display at the end of the air show’s first hour had been awesome and amazing to witness.

She also said the air show had been a resounding success so far and it was a privilege to be the mayor of borough in its first year.

Cpl Frank Millerick said he could see the massive crowds as he descended and it was a honour to help open the show.
