Norfolk police are monitoring a group of travellers who have set up camp on the site where a hospice is due to be built in the Gorleston area.
Since Friday travellers have been at the site of the planned East Coast Hospice site off Sidegate Road in Gorleston.
It is hoped construction work will start on the 10-bed hospice next year following a £3m fundraising appeal and some clearance work was due to start shortly on the site.
A statement from Norfolk Constabulary said: “Police are aware of an unauthorised encampment at Sidegate Road.
“Landowners are aware and have requested the group leave. Officers are monitoring the situation.”
East Coast Hospice chairman Jenny Beesley has handed the group of travellers a notice demanding they leave.
