A group of travellers have moved onto land that a hospice will be built on to serve the populations of Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
The travellers are on the East Coast Hospice site off Sidegate Road in Gorleston.
There are about half a dozen mobile home vehicles and several cars and children could be seen playing as woman washed clothes.
MORE; hospice plans gather paceThe hospice building is to be called Margaret Chadd House and will be a ten-bed specialist palliative care facility with day-care and have complementary therapies for the people of Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
The land for the hospice comprises 7.54 acres.
MORE; hospice site spruced upPlanning permission has been granted and the project is now on stage four, which includes on going work with mechanical and structural engineers and continuing further ground preparation and gardening.
The East Coast Hospice charity was formed in 2007.
