Two men were arrested today after they were spotted carrying a machete in Great Yarmouth.
Two 44-year-old men have been arrested after the incident which happened in King Street during the early hours of this morning, (Wednesday, July 18).
Police were alerted by CCTV operators around 1.45am after they spotted what appeared to be a man with a machete.
Officers immediately attended and arrested one of the men on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and the other 44-year-old on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Weapons were recovered. Both men are currently in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where they are being interviewed by officers.
