POLICE in Gorleston have arrested two people in connection with an assault and theft in Magdalen Way.

The incident happened on Wednesday, November 10, at about 8.30pm outside McColls where a man in his 40s was assaulted by two men and suffered a cut to his eye as a result of the attack.

The attack was linked to a theft which happened in the store around the same time in which two bottles of sherry and a box of lager was stolen.

Two men, aged 22 and 25, have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on police bail until January 11 pending further enquiries.
