A Norfolk village was counting the cost last night after vandals smashed up three changing rooms on a well used playing field and lit a fire in a multi-use play area.
The playing field damage was caused in Halvergate between Tuesday night and yesterday morning.
As well as the 100 damage to the changing rooms and fire damage, villagers had to clear up beer cans from the area.
Although the area has been vandalised in the past, Carol Hannant of the village's playing fields association said this week's damage was malicious and the worse she could remember.
