Gale force winds hit the East Coast today, with one report of a tree blocking the A47 at the Acle roundabout.
Drivers are being advised to approach with caution the Acle roundabout on the A47, eastbound at the A1064 Old Road, where a fallen tree has been causing slow traffic.
Temporary metal fences put in place by workers at Great Yarmouth’s Vauxhall Bridge have been buckled by the strong winds - the aftermath of last night’s storm.
The wind was also strong enough to cause tiles to fly off roofs. One fell from a roof in North Quay and smashed on the pavement below, fortunately no one was walking directly beneath at the time.
Police are advising caution when heading out. They urged people to call Floodline on 0845 9881188 for more information.
