Thousands of people from across Norfolk are being invited to air their views on the county's public services.

A total of 25,000 families will be asked to help outline what can be done to improve services, to a partnership of local authorities and organisations.

Norfolk Citizen's Panel is looking for 7,000 regular members to share their thoughts on services such as councils, police and the NHS.

Letters will be sent out to a random sample of 25,000 people in the county asking them to complete a questionnaire if they are interested in joining the panel. Members will be asked to complete two or three a year and can also take part in other research and consultation.

Partners on the panel include Broadland District Council, Breck-land Council, Great Yarmouth Bor-ough Council, West Norfolk Council, NHS Norfolk, Norfolk police, Norfolk County Council, Norwich City Council and South Norfolk Council.

Anne Tansley Thomas, Norfolk County Council's consultation officer who manages the panel on behalf of the partnership, said: “Once selected, panel members will be surveyed on a variety of topics which affect citizens in the county. The information given will be treated in the strictest confidence and the responses taken into account when decisions about services are being made.”
