A village pub is to reopen its doors under new operators.

The King’s Head in Blofield recently closed after the publican decided to cease trading.

However the pub, which is situated between Great Yarmouth and Norwich and is owned by Ei Publican Partnerships, is expected to reopen very soon.

A spokesperson from Ei Publican Partnerships said: “We can confirm that The Kings Head, Blofield, has been taken on by experienced, local operators.

“We’d like to reassure the local community that the pub will reopen in the very near future.”

The company describes the pub as “an imposing property that features a splendid red brick façade with past investment put into the pub’s layout and design”.

A history of The King’s Head reveals that it was licensed in 1836 when the population of Blofield was about 1,110 people.

An exact date for reopening is yet to be confirmed.
