A woman from Caister will be lacing up her running shoes for the “third and final” time after winning a Virgin Money competition on Facebook.
Pandora Buck, who began running with Great Yarmouth Road Runners Club when she was 50, will take her place in the green area alongside celebrity competitors - though she never anticipated she would be taking on the 26.2 miles again.
Miss Buck, 54, said: “I love running, it has been a really important part of my life, but I threw my shoes in the bin after the last one and said I’m not doing that again. If I get around in under five hours I will be happy.”
Miss Buck has chosen to run in aid of East Coast Hospice.
She said: “I am passionate about local causes and this is something we need in this area. If I can raise £2,000 it could make a big difference.”
