A CONCERT featuring former Yes man Rick Wakeman to be staged at the Britannia Pier, Great Yarmouth on Sunday has been cancelled.Rick said: “The tour operator said there were logistical problems as the Saturday concert is taking place at Wrexham in North Wales.
A CONCERT featuring former Yes man Rick Wakeman to be staged at the Britannia Pier, Great Yarmouth on Sunday has been cancelled.
Rick said: “The tour operator said there were logistical problems as the Saturday concert is taking place at Wrexham in North Wales. And it wouldn't be possible to get everyone associated with the show over to Yarmouth on time for Sunday. I can only I'm very disappointed but we are planning a Grumpy Old Man's Christmas show for later in the year which I hope we can perform at Yarmouth.”
Tour manager Dave Hill said: “It is as disappointing for us as it is for the fans who were coming to the show. But we had to look at the issues of drivers having such long journeys and having the stage set up on time. So we thought that on this occasion we had better cancel it but hopefully the Christmas show will go ahead.”
