IN the run up to the festive season, family bakers Warburtons plan to give away hundreds of pounds to charities in Great Yarmouth.

At a time when people are saving for Christmas presents, Warburtons will be giving away much-needed funds to local organisations supporting children and families. Any charity is welcome to apply for a share of the charity pot - groups simply need to describe how the donation would make a difference.

Mike Ewing, from Warburtons in the Midlands, said: “Warburtons is committed to helping local groups that provide an invaluable role in the community. As a family business the company has a strong track record of charity giving and active involvement and recognises the positive effect of community partnerships.

“The Christmas period can often be a difficult time for charities, especially with budgets being even tighter this year. We feel it's important to help out small groups and members of the community in Great Yarmouth who are often overlooked.

“All requests for support will be carefully considered and will receive a personal reply from our community giving team. So anyone that feels their charity could be eligible for a donation, please don't hesitate to get in contact.”

Yarmouth based charities who wish to benefit from the support being offered over the next few months can contact the community giving team by writing to: Warburtons Community Giving, c/o Dan Houle, Vital, 14a Clarendon Avenue, Leamington Spa, CV32 5PZ.
