With the warm weather attracting even more visitors to beaches, Great Yarmouth Borough Council is reminding people not to leave litter along the coast and light barbecues and fires.
A council spokesman said: “A picnic is a great way to enjoy the coast, but visitors are asked to dispose of their waste responsibly in one of the litter bins provided or by taking it home with them.
“There is no excuse for littering, which pollutes the environment.
“In the interests of public safety, the lighting of fires and barbecues on the borough council’s beaches, at Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Caister-on-Sea, is not allowed without prior consent from the council.”
