A WARNING has been issued for people not to eat a peanut butter spread which might be toxic.

Norfolk County Council Trading Standards' Officers are warning people not to eat a peanut butter spread or peanut paste which could have levels of the toxin Aflatoxin which are too high.

Groundnut products manufactured by Mardoro Ltd and Jesu Aka Ltd have been found to contain excessively high levels of Aflatoxins.

Norfolk Trading Standards' Officers are currently trying to identify Norfolk retailers which may stock the brands of

Anybody who has bought peanut butter or the peanut paste manufactured by Jesu Aka or the Active brand made by Mardoro Ltd, should return it to the shop they bought it from for a refund, or dispose of it.
