A PORPOISE has been found washed up on Winterton beach with a chunk of its body missing.

The discovery at the weekend has triggered fears a shark or other predator could be lurking in the seas off the east Norfolk coast and carried out the attack on the porpoise.

A number of porpoises have been washed up along the coast at Scratby and Winterton during the last two years following suspected shark attacks.
