A WEDDING ring has been handed into the police after someone discovered it lying on a Great Yarmouth beach.

The silver coloured men’s wedding band was discovered by a member of the public using a metal detector on the beach north of Britannia Pier on Friday September 9.

The ring has a date engraved on the inside suggesting the owner was only married a short while ago.
