TWO primary school children had designs on creating a lasting legacy for their village school's nursery when they took part in a competition to design a sign for outside the premises.
Oliver Millar, seven, and eight year old Andrew Monument, devised a sign featuring teddy bears and children's toys to be displayed on a large board attached to a railing outside Rollesby Primary School.
Headteacher Sue Pickles said: “As we have a very well established nursery we thought we should have a sign out there. We have a sign for the school, but there is no evidence we have a good nursery as well, so we thought we should have a sign to advertise ourselves.”
She added the competition involved the whole school and Andrew did the text, while Oliver did the pictures.
Mrs Pickles said the nursery, which had been running for 12 years, had received a good Ofsted report so the school wanted to publicise it more.
