Gorleston’s new cinema is finally ready for its premiere.
And it looks to be an all-action affair for the Palace Cinema as it raises the curtain on its four-screen movie theatre for the first time on Monday.
Patrick Duffy, who is behind the £1m renovation, is promising the best seats and the most up-to-date technology.
He said: “To be able to put something into a town that has not been there for decades and contributing to the social fabric of Gorleston by giving it something that virtually no town of its size has – a state-of-the-art-cinema – is wonderful.
“All the seating is the best standard seating I could get, with premium on top of that, and elite on top of that.
“The building has got limitations.
“Downstairs is completely disabled friendly, but unfortunately the upstairs cannot be because of the building.
“The downstairs screens are 3D and they are equipped to deal with conferences and meetings so people can use the large screens.
“I am very proud of what we have achieved.”

Showing first will be Blade Runner 2049 at 11am with The Lego Ninjago Movie and My Little Pony: The Movie set to delight younger children over half term.
From Tuesday to Thursday there are advance previews of the latest superhero action blockbuster Thor:Ragnarok.
Some of the screenings are in one of the two 125 seater 3D screen cinemas.
From Monday until the official opening on November 2 all “sneak peek” customers will receive a £2 discount.
Members who join online will get £1 off every film.
Off-peak adult prices are £8.95 adult, £6.95 concessions, £25 family.
Peak prices are £9.95, £8.95 and £30 family.
There are extra charges for 3D, ultra luxury, and elite seating.
The 1939 landmark was built as a cinema and later converted to a bingo hall.
The Art-Deco style venue has a capacity for 540 movie fans and plans to host live theatre screenings as well as all the top movies.
