POLICE are appealing for information after arsonists set fire to a wheelie bin which spread to a flat in Southtown.

It happened at 5.18am on Wednesday, April 4 at a property in Wolseley Road.

Two fire crews from Gorleston and one from Great Yarmouth extinguished the blaze. The brigade wore breathing apparatus and used main and hose reel jets. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. Nobody was injured.

Police believe the fire was started deliberately and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
