ON Saturday, July 16 at Emerald Park, home of Gorleston FC, Norwich City are playing Gorleston in their first pre season friendly as a Premier League team.

Norwich City Community Sports Foundation (CSF) have teamed with Gorleston FC and Archant Norfolk to offer 32 children aged five to 12 the chance to have a FREE coaching session on the Emerald Park pitch before the game and then a chance to watch the game for free.

The coaching session will be for two hours from 11am–1pm run by the qualified CSF coaches, and will allow the children a chance to play football in a safe, structured environment, practising skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, turning, and finishing with small-sided games.

Along with this, children will also get to meet CSF mascot Sportasaurus, the chance to meet their favourite NCFC player, and also a ticket to watch the game for FREE in the afternoon.

Joe Harvey, CSF South East Norfolk Area Development Officer, said: “We are pleased to have teamed up with Gorleston FC and Archant Norfolk to provide this opportunity to children to play football at Emerald Park.

“This will be a great chance for all mad Norwich City fans to play on a good surface before their heroes in the afternoon. Also it’s a chance to see their heroes play and show off some of the skills that they have learnt in the morning.”

The closing date for entries is Friday, July 8 in time for the event on July 16. The first 32 children selected at random will be the winners. Normal Archant competition rules apply.
