Pupils, parents and friends from Winterton Primary School enjoyed a day at Carrow Road, playing a 6-a-side football match against Brancaster Primary on the pitch, followed by the chance to watch a record-breaking Norwich City team chalk up their 11th successive victory against Hartlepool United. The opportunity arose through the school's annual affiliation to the Associate Group Scheme at Norwich City. “Some of the children were not that keen on football until this opportunity came along, and being a small school we were able to offer it to children who would not normally get the chance if they were in a larger year group,” said headteacher Richard Endall. “Now they have played inside a big stadium and experienced the excitement of a league game, I'm sure that a few more of them will be eager to get involved in football at school.”
