Winterton primary school cchildren visited the Elizabethan House Museum in Yarmouth

A VISIT to the Elizabethan House museum in Great Yarmouth gave the younger children from Winterton Primary School the chance to step back in time and learn how hard life could be in the past.

A VISIT to the Elizabethan House museum in Great Yarmouth gave the younger children from Winterton Primary School the chance to step back in time and learn how hard life could be in the past. They dressed up in period clothes and turned their small hands to several household tasks including butter churning, carpet beating and sweeping, and washing clothes using a 'dolly' and a mangle. They all agreed that it was very hard work but they did enjoy whacking the carpets!

Pupils visited the museum to enhance their history topic on houses and homes.
