THE children of Winterton Primary School were able to bring some of their own fresh produce to the school's annual Harvest Festival this year. Pumpkins and tomatoes grown on their award-winning allotment took centre stage along with the other generous offerings brought into church to be distributed through the local branch of the Salvation Army. The four classes each performed their own work during the service. This included an autumn song, a healthy food rap, information and a short play about Indian food and a nostalgic look at how food (and fashion) in Britain has developed since the end of the second world war.
