At approximately 1.51pm, a silver PT Cruiser was travelling south west on the A1151 when it was in collision with a silver S type Jaguar which was heading in the opposite direction.
Sadly, the rear seat passenger in the Jaguar, a woman in her 80s from Hainford, died from injuries received as a result of the collision.
The front seat passenger in the Jaguar, an elderly woman, again from Hainford, also received serious leg and chest injuries.
PC Michael Robertson would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident.
In particular he would like to hear from the driver of a dark coloured Peugeot convertible, who turned right from the A1151 prior to the collision.
