A woman has been arrested on the suspicion of drug-driving and possession of a class A drug after the car she was believed to be driving crashed into a home in Gorleston.

Police were following the car on Sunday night when it crashed into a property in Englands Lane at about 8.15pm.

A woman was seen to run away from the car.

After a search by police officers a woman aged in her 20s was arrested a short time later in the Beach Road area on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision and drug driving.

Following searches, officers seized what is believed to be Class A drugs and cannabis.

The woman was then further arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a Class A and Class B drug.

She was later released from police custody under investigation while enquiries continue.
