Woman attacked in Great Yarmouth robbery

A WOMAN was attacked from behind and robbed of her handbag as she walked away from Sainsbury’s in Great Yarmouth last Thursday.

Detectives are appealing for information following the robbery, which took place between 6.45pm and 7.20pm on Thursday, September 23 at the junction of Silk Mill Road and St Nicholas Road.

The 52-year-old woman fell to the floor after she was struck by a man, who then took cash and cards and ran off towards the St Nicholas Church graveyard.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.
