Woman attacked with heavy object

POLICE in Great Yarmouth are appealing for information following an assault in the town on Saturday.

The incident happened at approximately 3pm on King Street, close to the junction with Regent Road.

The incident happened at approximately 3pm on King Street, close to the junction with Regent Road.

A 27-year-old woman was hit over the back of the head with a heavy object, suffering a minor injury as a result.

It is believed suspects could have used a book in a bag to assault the woman.

Four young males, aged between 13 and 15, were seen to run towards the Market Place immediately after the incident happened.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information in relation to the suspects.
