A woman from Great Yarmouth is putting her feet up after completing a week-long ultra marathon challenge.

Karen Peck set herself the goal of completing the entirety of the Round Norfolk relay course in one week, setting off from the Sea Life Centre in Marine Parade on Easter Monday.

Each day Mrs Peck ran between 26 and 31 miles on a route that took her across the county, from Thetford and Snettisham, to Wells and Mundesley.

After a week of sweat and swollen feet, tears and blisters, Mrs Peck completed the gargantuan run on Sunday, returning to a warm reception in her hometown.

Mrs Peck took on the challenge in aid of charities Mind and Royal Institute of Blind People.

She said: “Thank you to everyone who has given so far. There are too many people to thank but you are all wonderful, especially Mr P who truly believes in me and every mad thing I do.”
