A man armed with a screwdriver demanded cash from a woman in her 20’s in Great Yarmouth.

It happened at around 10.40pm on Saturday July 21.

The woman was walking through an alleyway between Palgrave Road and Northgate Street when she was approached by the man.

He threatened her with what is believed to have been a screwdriver and demanded money.

Nothing was stolen and the suspect, who is described as wearing a black hoody, ran off in the direction of Palgrave Road.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen anything suspicious in the area at the time should contact DC Gareth Davies at Great Yarmouth CID on 101.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers.
